1、Classification of diamond tools
1. According to bonding agents, there are three major categories of diamond tools: resin, metal, and ceramic bonding agents. Metal bonding processes are divided into several categories, including sintering, electroplating, and brazing
2. Classified by purpose structure:
(1) Grinding tools - grinding wheels, rollers, rollers, edge grinding wheels, grinding discs, bowl grinding, soft grinding discs, etc;
(2) Sawing tools - circular saw blade, row saw, rope saw, simple saw, band saw, chain saw, wire saw;
(3) Drilling tools - geological and metallurgical drill bits, oil (gas) well drill bits, engineering thin-walled drill bits, stone drill bits, glass drill bits, etc;
(4) Other tools - trimming tools, cutting tools, wire drawing dies, etc.
(5) Compared with metal bonded matrix, resin and ceramic bonded matrix have lower strength and are not suitable for cutting, drilling, and trimming tools. Generally, only abrasive products are available
2、Diamond Tool Applications
Diamond has hardness, so the tools made are particularly suitable for processing hard and brittle materials, especially non-metallic materials, such as stone, wall and floor tiles, glass, ceramics, concrete, refractory, materials, magnetic materials, semiconductors, gemstones, etc; It can also be used for processing non-ferrous metals, alloys, wood, such as copper, aluminum, hard alloys, quenched steel, cast iron, composite wear-resistant wooden boards, etc. At present, diamond tools have been widely used in industries such as architecture, building materials, petroleum, geology, metallurgy, machinery, electronics, ceramics, wood, and automobiles.
